Mwanachuo is a student companion app that helps students access academic services, campus updates, messaging, moments, and notifications in one mobile experience.
Mwanachuo may use institutional login or ISMS access only to help users access academic services. Academic account data is not owned by Mwanachuo. The student institution or official academic system remains the source of truth for academic records and account access.
Mwanachuo social and app features may collect information needed to provide the service, including:
Some data may be stored locally on the user's phone using secure or local storage. Mwanachuo may also store data on Mwanachuo backend services when needed for social features such as profiles, messaging, moments, reactions, and notifications.
Mwanachuo may use trusted service providers to operate the app and website. These may include:
Mwanachuo uses data to provide student features, maintain app functionality, support account security, deliver notifications, and help users access relevant academic and campus services. Mwanachuo does not sell user data.
Users can delete their Mwanachuo social account from inside the app. Deleting the Mwanachuo social account does not delete the user's academic or ISMS account. Deleted social account data is removed from Mwanachuo backend services with no recovery option.
